What is your cancellation policy?
We require full payment upfront to secure your booking, with the balance due on or before the rental day. You can reschedule up to 48 hours before your session. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the booking will receive a full refund. Cancellations or reschedules within 48 hours of the booking will receive a 50% refund. Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for cancellations or reschedules made less than 24 hours before the session. Please note that bookings start at the reserved time, and late arrivals that extend beyond your scheduled end time will be subject to overtime charges.
Does my rental time include setup and breakdown?
Yes, rental time includes both setup and breakdown. If you think you’ll need extra time to prepare or clean up, please be sure to select a rental time frame that accommodates your needs.
How long does it take to process a refund?
Refunds are processed via Stripe and typically take 5-10 days to appear in your account.
Can I Bring outside equipment?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring any equipment you like, including rentals from other studios or equipment providers. We do not charge extra for outside equipment brought into Grayscale Studios.

Can I shoot anywhere else in the building?
No, your rental only includes the use of the designated studio space. Shooting in other areas of the building is not permitted.
Can I book for less than 2 hours?
We have a 2-hour minimum for all bookings. You’re not required to use the full two hours, but that is the minimum reservation time.
Do you allow pets?
Yes, we allow pets for a $25 pet fee (per pet). Pets must be leashed or crated at all times and cannot show aggression. If our staff feels unsafe, they reserve the right to ask you to leave with your pet, without a refund. You’re responsible for any damage caused by your pet (biting, scratching, breaking items, etc.). Additionally, a $25 clean-up fee will apply if your pet has an accident in the studio.
Do you allow alcohol or smoking?
No, smoking or alcohol consumption is not permitted in the studio. Violating this rule may result in additional fees or a ban from future bookings.
Are the studios soundproof?
While we do host productions that require sound recording, the studio is not soundproof. External noise, including activities from neighboring spaces, may be audible. Please note that bookings after 6 PM may have an increased risk of sound disruptions.

Operational Guidelines:
The elevator is for loading in and out only and can only be operated by Grayscale Studios staff.
During your session, guests will need to use the stairs unless specific arrangements are made.
Special Arrangements for Mini Sessions: If you're hosting mini-sessions with clients frequently coming and going, you can arrange elevator access for an additional $20 per hour. This includes a studio manager to assist your clients.
Accessibility Accommodations: If you have any specific accessibility needs, please inform us ahead of time so we can make suitable accommodations.
Is there a loading zone?
Yes, we provide a designated loading zone. However, after unloading, you’ll need to relocate your vehicle to nearby street parking. Please move efficiently, as the area experiences heavy traffic from nearby businesses.
Can I move the furniture around ?
Yes, you can rearrange the furniture, but everything must be returned to its original position by the end of your booking. If you're moving heavy items, please work with our studio manager to avoid damage. Additional fees may apply if any damage occurs.
Note: Our staff is available to assist with setup upon your arrival and can help move furniture or use the freight elevator. However, they are not responsible for restoring the studio to its original arrangement or providing assistance beyond the studio space.
